My parents were out of town this weekend and they got back late last night. Supposedly you bring back some gifts, for your little children who missed you at home. Thats what we are and so they did. Everybody thinks World Cup in Germany right now and so I got some socks!!

germany smokes sweden 2-0

So far the german team has been pretty impressive, I think. Didn´t expect them to play so well. For the round of 16 I went to a public viewing place the first time and watched the game with 2000 other german fans. The atmosphere was really great and the game as well. I thought I share a little bit of it.

..part 2

waiting at the airport and flying with Scandinavian

my last days in the us

With a little Potluck on my last day at work, May 23, my co-workers put together a great lunch. And said Goodbye the "American" way, by eating together. Really great food and a nice surprise. The next day I was heading of to Wichita, Kansas where I arrived with an early morning flight at 11.00 am. I spent the first couple of days in Wichita with Joni+Stan and their family. Hanging out, swimming, watching basketball and relaxing were some of the things we did. Over the weekend (May 26+27) we drove to their Ranch in Oklahoma, beautiful land and fun on the 4 wheelers. On Monday I drove up to Missiouri to the MVS Retreat with the Hutchinson Unit. In that week (Mo-Fr) all the volunteers from the different cities in the US came together and had a some days of meetings, a speaker in the morning, different session, sports, games and talking. Fun Times and a lot of great people. I left a little early, on Thursday (June 1) instead of Friday because I wanted to be home on the weekend. My flight out of Kansas got delayed, so I had to wait 3 hours at the airport for my plane. It wasn´t to bad they have free wireless internet in the Kansas City International Airport. And then from Washington D.C. to Europe I flew Scandinavian Airline, great service, as many free drinks as you wanted and a fun entertainment system. Good Times.
The Event on the weekend I wanted to be home for, I´ll write about it next time.
